The origins of the program
The program is managed and run by La 27e Région, researchers Magali Talandier and Gabriel Renault (Laboratoire Pacte) and the elected representatives’ networks France Urbaine and Intercommunalités de France, as well as Céréma. It is supported by ADEME and the Fondation de France.
La 27e Région is an independent laboratory for public transformation, offering a multi-disciplinary, reflexive and experimental space for developing desirable futures for public action. Convinced of the importance of reintroducing experimentation and trial-and-error into public action, we work with public authorities to test new services, tools, methods and modes of organization. We draw on concepts inspired by design, the social sciences and alternative movements (do-it-yourself, free culture, popular education).
Onboard communities
The communities of Puisaye Forterre, Bassin de Pompey and Val de Garonne, the PETR of Figeac / Vallée de Dordogne and the metropolises of Lille, Rennes, Grenoble, Nantes, Bordeaux, Orléans and Montpellier have all signed up. In each of them, we team up with the agents in charge of economic development, with whom we will conduct the survey, build new hypotheses and visions for local economic development policies, then put them to the test.
